## Connect Google Calendar

1. Open **Settings → Connected sources**.
2. Add a Google Calendar connection.
3. Sign in to the Google account that owns your calendar.
4. Grant the requested calendar access.
5. Select the calendars to import, then select **Save calendars**.

Select **Add Google account** to connect another account.
Each connection has its own calendars and import filters.

## Name and organize calendars

Rename a calendar in Plan Your Work to a useful local name, such as **Personal Cal** or **Work Calendar**.
The local name remains after future syncs.
The name in Google Calendar does not change.

If areas are enabled, assign each calendar to an area.
The calendar and its events then appear in that area's workspace.

## Exclude copied busy blocks

A calendar may contain copied meetings that only reserve time.
Use connection filters to prevent these copies from cluttering Plan Your Work.

Select the Google account, then find **Ignore events**.
Add one excluded title prefix per line under **Title prefixes**:

```text
[Apsure]
[Personal]
```

Select **Save filters** to remove matching imported events and exclude future matches.
Capitalization does not matter.
Clear a prefix to import those events again on the next sync.
These rules apply to this connection only.
Original events in your other connections remain available.
Google Calendar itself is unchanged.

## Understand event sync

Google Calendar is an import-only connection.
Changes in Google update the imported events in Plan Your Work.
An event's start becomes its due time, and its end controls automatic completion.

Change meeting details, recurrence, or cancellations in Google Calendar.
The dashboard and MCP cannot write those changes back to Google.
You can change an event's local attention date in Plan Your Work.

Timed events display in your browser's time zone without a time-zone suffix.
All-day events keep the dates from the source calendar.
Stored source timestamps remain unchanged.

## Understand task-source sync

Connectors have different capabilities.
For Godspeed, supported sync includes task titles, notes, due dates, completion, and deletion.
Priority and task order remain local.
Complete repeating tasks in Godspeed to create the next occurrence.

Check the integration screen for its sync status and supported behavior.
An imported task keeps its source identity, even in a linked project.

## Combine projects without copying tasks

[Link projects](projects.md#link-connected-lists) to see tasks from separate sources in one local project.
Linking does not create copies in the external services.
New imports continue to appear in the combined project.
New local tasks in a linked project remain local.

## Check a connection

Open the integration screen to check sync status and errors.
If authorization expires, reconnect the Google account and sync again.
If an unwanted event remains, check the title prefix and the connection that imported it.

### Recurring calendar events

List, folder, and All tasks views show one row per recurring series, using the next or ongoing occurrence.
Click the repeat icon on a grouped event to browse synced upcoming dates or individual completed occurrences.
Today, Overdue, Upcoming, and Completed views retain individual occurrences.
Grouping uses the source calendar and series ID, so matching titles in unrelated meetings stay separate.
Rescheduled occurrences use their actual dates. Existing events gain series metadata on the next calendar sync.
History includes occurrences retained by prior syncs; it does not fetch the calendar's entire past history.
