Start with a little less noise
A short tour of your workspace, from the first task to a connected calendar.
Read as MarkdownYour workspace, in one place
Plan Your Work brings lists, tasks, and calendar events into one workspace. Start with a local list, or connect a source that already holds your work.
Create your first task
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Inbox in the sidebar.
- Select Add task, or press N.
- Enter a task name.
- Add a due date or notes as needed, then save.
Inbox holds tasks that do not yet belong to a list. You have one Inbox. It sits at the top of the sidebar and stays the same in every area. Move a selected task with M, or use the command palette.
Make a home for your work
Use the + beside Lists to create a list. Lists can contain tasks and nested lists. Folders help you organize related lists.
If you want separate personal and work views, enable Areas in Settings. Assign an area to a list, then use the area icons above the sidebar. Read Lists and areas for inheritance and linking rules.
Choose what needs attention
| View | What you will find |
|---|---|
| Inbox | Tasks waiting for a list. One Inbox, the same in every area. |
| All tasks | Active tasks across your lists and sources. |
| Today | Tasks due today and overdue tasks. |
| Upcoming | Future tasks, grouped by date. |
| Completed | Tasks that you have finished, including expired calendar events. |
Ready, Later, and All refine task lists without changing the tasks themselves. Read Tasks and dates to control when future work appears.
Bring in your calendar
Open Settings → Connected sources to connect Google Calendar. You can connect more than one Google account and select calendars to import. Meetings appear alongside tasks and complete automatically after their end time.
Read Calendars and connections before you combine sources or filter imported events.
Find your way quickly

If you use an AI agent, connect it through MCP to work with the same lists and tasks.
